Looking for the cheapest online vendor for GM part #: 25317984

Any other online suggestions?

Thanks!

I'm in Canada. I would have it shipped to my friends place (in the US) and he could send it up to me.

The cheapest I could find it locally through my local friend who is a mechanic is $425 CDN

does it have to be a GM original fuel pump?

This is my 5 cents worth, (normally is would be 2 cents worth but I have adjusted it for inflation)

Car I drive:
99 Chevy Cavalier 2.2L 5 spd man (My daily car)
98 Ford Escort ZX2 4 spd auto

I have heard that the GM original is best and will cause no issues during installation unlike some of the aftermarket parts but fi anyone has any first-hand experience installing a specific type of aftermarket fuel pump, let me know.

local parts store nearby? if so, do the blazer swap. costs a whole lot less, dont need any additional mods to run it, and its a stronger pump.

blazer pump.

I had seriously thought about the blazer swap but I do not have the facilities to really drop the gas tank in the driveway and I highly doubt my local GM tech would be up to doing this install at the dealership.

Forgot to ask, will the blazer swap work on a 100% completely stock 2.2 or do I need an fpr? I do not wish to improve the performance of the car at all, its staying stock.

Ok, I am idiot I just re-read your post Rich, it answered the above question.

Is there an actual tutorial/faq with pictures and a how to drop the gas tank off the car?

I would imagine I would have to disconnect that @#$^ fuel filter again too, argh!

But indeed that fuel pump is WAAY cheaper than the stock one!

Darn, if I were somewhere in the GTA that would be great but I am in Ottawa, doh!

That is a really good price if its not an aftermarket fuel pump assembly though!
