Fuel tank leak

I have a 95 Sunfire 2.2 convertible.

Just filled it up and noticed a puddle under the rear of the car. Further investigation led me to see that it is dripping from the top of the gas tank. Not where the filler hose or vent attaches but up on top where one cannot see.

My question, what should I expect? A bad gasket on the fuel pump / sender unit, rotten metal pipes? bad hose connections? I'd just like to have what I need on hand and am seeking information from those who have "been there, done that".
Is there a top access (wishful thinking) or must one drop the fuel tank?

Thanks for any and all help.

Dave

My guess is that the top of the tank has rusted I've been in the same boat, you are going to have to drop the tank, this isn't bad as long as the two bolts for the straps aren't rusted, once its down inspect it, good luck
