My 00 Sunfire is acting up.
It seems that the rear defrost is broken. The light comes on when I push the button, the fuse is o.k. The back grill continuity is o.k, but no voltage at the two connectors on the rear windshield. anyone know what's wrong?
You you have voltage at the fuse?

I have the same problem. Push the button and nothing happens. I've checked the contacts and I'm not getting any voltage. I also checked the fuse and it appears to be fine. The only thing that I can think of that I haven't done is check the switch to make sure it's working properly *but* the light comes on when I push the button....Maybe a break in the line or the wires that make contact with the connectors are faulty.
Some advice would be helpful.
P.S. I own a 2000 Sunfire too...sigh.
My friend's car and mine just took a @!#$ I believe, I have yet to check my fuse but I figured a good bump would help. His fuse is still good. I assume mine is too.
LOL, ha, the same link I was going to post. I don't know if the wire jumper thing works though. I just fixed my mom's Cavy doing that, but I haven't gotten a chance to test it yet. If its not the fuse, and its not the wire, then it could be a relay. I'm not sure where that is either
In my 93 2.2'S the relay is on the printed circuit board actually attached to the rear defrost ON/OFF push switch in the centre/center console.
I have no info on the newer models.
