i have a delemna. in exactly one week from right now i will be vacationing in vegas on the strip. i need to knwo what the weather is like out there and what type of clothes i should pack. i have been looking at the weather channels on tv and the weather sites online and all of them say high 60's during the day and low to mid 40's at night. is this true? what type of clothes do you wear out there? i have a girlfriend who is realllllly sensitive to weather and i need to know. thanks for the help in advance.

thanks man. nwo i have something to tell her. i was thinkin bout taking shorts/jeans and either a jacket or hoodie along with the other essentials but i needed to knwo cuz my girl is really sensitive to weather. when its cold (below 65) shes freezing and when its hot (above 80) shes is sweating to death. and the sad thing is that when i live at in the winter it averages about high of 40 and in the summer is averages a high of 90. pretty sad i know.
btw, im staying at the flamingo from feb 13 til feb 16. the only thing that i have planned is that we're going to see carrot top (my favorite stand up comedian) on feb15th at 8pm at the luxor.

Vegas is freakin crazy weather in Winter.
It's hard to predict, heck, they got snow not that long ago (couple years?) from what I remember. I saw pack two different sets of clothes, especially if your g/f is sensitive to the weather. You don't want to get out there and be miserable the entire time because you didn't pack the right stuff.
ronus20....yeah i was thinkin bout packin for all different weather. everything from shorts to a heavy jacket. trust me when i say that im known for taking wayyyyyy too many clothes than i really need. shoot, we went to cancun a couple months back and i took a jacket and skull cap even though the weather channels said low of 75 the entire time. luckily i went like 3 weeks before that hurricane wiped out that enitre place. even then i would have been okay with all the clothes i had. lol.
thanks alot, i will just tell her to pack everything and hopeuflly she will be happy. she'll be miserable the enitre first day though cuz thats just how she is. and by the time we leave, she wont want to. but im hoping that my surprise of a helicopter flight at night on the first night will cheer her up.

yeah, it's pretty chilly here at night and in the mornings. During the day, it's VERY nice......i'm talking about no sleeve shirts and shorts. Don't forget the sunglasses because it get's pretty bright too. Sorry it took so long to get a reply from someone that lives in Vegas. I just got off of my 3 days off and don't have a home computer. Plus, most of the Vegas folk haven't been on here in at least 3 to 4 months. It seems like I'm the only one from here that constantly checks this place. Anyways, if any of y'all want to meet up or whatever, I work at night, and don't really do anything during the day. I'd just have to get a "kitchen pass" from my wife. Plus, my car is going to be going under the knife here very soon, and getting a facelift....so it might be a franken-car for a week or so. But if I can, i'll meet up with anyone. turbostitchcw....thanks for the help man. im bringing damn near every type of clothes. i got a big enough suitecase that i can fit it all. so im good with that now. i cant freekin wait til 5pm est today cuz i officially start my vacation from work. i will be landing in vegas at 1030am your time on monday and leaving at 12noon your time on thursday. not nough time but should be jam packed full of excitement.

im a chapstick feen. i use chapstick all year round in the cold and hot. dont ask me why but i just do. i think im pretty well prepared right now. got the vtines gifts, cigarettes, clothes and everything ready to go. just need this stinkin day to end so i can go home for the weekend and then hop on the plane monday morning unless the snow we get this weekend has anything to do with that....crossing my fingers....

yeah the vacation was great. carrot top was alot different in person but funnier than all hell. i had such a good time out there that i am now in the hunt for an apartment and a job so i can move out there.
speaking of which, i was going to make another post but i will see what type of reponse i get out of this here. for those that live in the vegas (strip or surroundings) area where are soem good apartments at? ive been looking online at a place called The Villas At Desert Pointe maybe 4 blocks away from the strip. they look damn good and for the price of a 1 bedroom i dont think you can beat it. also, any good companies to work for? construction or others? perferablly working with my hands and hand tools. i need some info cuz i think in about 3 months i will be moving out there. first i need to pay off my truck and outstanding credit card bill and save up like 4 months rent on top of that. or if anyone has an extra room in their apartment i can rent that would be easier.
