well just had dropped a new engine in my 96 cav.
engine is from a 00+ but had been completly rebuit in 03 so im guessing it has very low miles
Also have auto tranny
Also have entire interior and doors/quarters..
not sure im parting the car out just yet i had a fender bender about a week ago whole front is pretty much done fenders, hood and bumper.
I have z24 side skirts and rear bumper.. Just testing waters let me know offers
I'm not clear. What's for sale? The engine? A car without an engine? A tranny? A 96 Cavi with an 00 engine that's wrecked?

my bad i have a 96 Z24.. i wrecked bumper hood and fender.. im thinking about parting it out. just 2 months ago i put a new engine in it from a 2001 Z24. But th engine was also stamped and rebuit by gm in 2003. So the miles are quite low. i only got to put about 4k miles on it but it ran perfect until i wrecked the car. it still starts and runs. Hopefully that clears things up.
As for the car its a 96 Z24 i have EVERYTHING except bumper hood and fender..
Who installed the engine? Has the new engine been smogged?

i installed the engine. No had not been smogged nothing on it that wouldnt make it not pass smog.
Are you using the ECU from the 96 or the 2001? Is the EVAP canister still present or is removed?

Evap is present.. Im using Ecu from 96.. I guess in that case it wouldnt pass smog.. i just got it smogged before i put the new one in so no worries for me..lol
Evap is present but top piece broke in the wreck would need a new line in..
Im willing to sell the whole damn car if anyone is interested

Yeah there might of been an in between owner now that I think about it. I don't know of it ever being wrecked. Last time I talked to the original owner was about 2-3 years ago. But I'm pretty darn sure that's the car I'm thinking of.
Why do you ask how many times it's been wrecked? Does it drive funny or something?

Well i bought it wrecked with only a salvage title.. when i bought it only needed a couple minor things fender, tie rod etc.. everything lines up good but it just seems like it was wrecked before that to get a salvage title. It drives pretty good i need an alignment on it tho. Im in palm springs dude pretty far from u

Are you parting this car out? I'd take the interior things off of your hands. I.E. Inner door panels, Right and Left side inner rear panels, and rear speaker deck lid...if so whats the asking price?

Yeah six hours away, I know, my mothers side of the family is all in Indio and Coachella. I was just down there a few weeks ago for a wedding.
It'd cost me about $200 to tow it home and a shiz load of time. I dunno. You'd have to be willing to sell it in the hundreds for me to consider it.

Maybe $500, considering it doesnt' even blue book because of it's condition. "Fair" is about $1600. But "Fair" means you can at least drive it.

ya.. well i wouldnt let it go for 500 the engine is like new and i just paid 850 for it not long ago. I know i could have it fixed and the whole car painted for 1500 n have a good car again, which is wut i will probably do down th road but for now i dont think id sell it for under a grand
That's true, but then it'd still be worth just $1600 bucks. So you could fix it and make $100 or make $500 now. And that's if I really wan tto buy it for $500. Because then I'd have to fix it for $1500, and I'd end up spending $2000 total for a $1600.
