spare cooling fan

I was wondering if there is anyone in the LA area that has a spare cooling fan I can buy or borrow. I'm not sure is my cooling fan is broken or I fried the wiring to the fan trying to do the fan override mod.

Thanks in advance

Sal

You can't test the fan by putting power to it directly?
Can't test the circuit for voltage drop?

How do you do that? Do i take a voltmeter and hook it up to green wire on the fan? Where do i attach it?

Thanks

To check the fan: you put one wire to the positive terminal on the bat. and the other end goes to one terminal on the fan plug.
Then you can attach the other prong on the fan connector to a ground ( if bat connected properly)

If the fan turns on it's good and you have a short or open elsewhere.

or you can pull the under hood relay, jump 2 wires, not sure which ones othe than you use the diagnaol ones.

That too!

It should have a diagram of the circuit on the relay. So jump the two wires that arn't the coil/ magnet wires.

I did the direct wiring thing to the fan and it worked. So is this a relay or wiring problem where teh fuse box is located?

Thanks in advance
