?'s about GM S/C

OK, thinking about getting the GM S/C.

First question - if I strap it to my 98 cavalier, do you think a cop would be smart enough to know that the S/C's CARB # is only for a 2000 or up? Do they have a resource to even know?

Two - Is it worth it? Seems like it. A new belt and te mods current on my 98 cavalier seem to be a great starting point.

Three - how long to install and most importantly, deinstall for smog? 4,6,8 hours?

Four - off topic slightly, are there are smog legal options for the Ecotecs?

Five - would it be wiser to get an 00 (they're running 4-5 grand all day long on Ebay), then get the S/C? The problem with this is the amount of car-to-car swapping I would do to get all my stuff over. Swapping all that stuff over is comparable to getting the S/C working on the 98, I'm guessing.

Thanks.
