Bye-Bye motor!

Well after being happily boosted for ~30,000 miles, the turbo ate it last summer as some know. I was in the middle of a trip, and lost A LOT of oil for ~100 miles. Ever since then the motor has been knocking.

Well a few weeks ago it got REALLY BAD, so I parked the car and started ripping it out. Motor is now out, and the head it comming off tomorrow. The cams all look great and so do the springs, so I have know idea what the problem is yet. I am hoping it is in the top end still, where it seemed to be comming from.

No more turbo from now on, but I have a ported/polished head, HO manifold, lightened UD pulley, poly mounts and cams for it as soon as it's running again. I am really hoping it's not the bottom end though.

Anyways I'm in colorado springs but if anyone knows of a LD9 with a good low end for me feel free to pipe up!

22 miles per gallon and dropping fast...

the knocking is coming from the bottom end, most likely its a rod knock.
