AZ: Need good tint shop in east valley
Wednesday, July 13, 2005 1:22 PM
hola y'all, I'm looking for a high-quality (but of course reasonably priced) tint shop out east here. Someone busted out my Audi's window to brake into my car a while back, and I haven't had the one I replaced it with tinted yet. I just need some place that will be able to match the tint that was on the original, and not have it fall off in a few years...
Any recomendations?

Go to "made in the shade" I believe its over on valvista and main. Tell them James Brown sent you and you will get I think 15% off your tint.

will any of those guys to 5% with the tall strip up front?

I know NOT to goto "Solar Shield" - I was pissed at them after my GF got her car done. They charge SO MUCH! OMG.

Whats this "extra" charge so you won't have horizontal lines on your back window? And then its another extra charge if you want 5% on the back ... Cause we all know it's so much harder to put on dark tint... like it take tons more time.. and the product doesn't cost anymore... Plus the guy was a jerkoff to her. It was the solar shield by ray or elliot right east of the I-10...
grrr...

whoa there sparky

they didn't over charge me, I called every shop I could find in the phone book and I got the best deal I could find with a lifetime guarantee, there's also a discount for mentioning their phone book ad if I remember correctly

the extra cost for the darker tint is because it costs more to produce, more pigment/materials etc.

the extra cost for the "lines" would be for the extra work they should have done to sand down the dot matrix, not the lines

it isn't a burger and fries and McDonalds hold the pickle

and the Solar Shield I was talking about is on Chandler, just east of I-10, and it's their only location

Just saying it seems over priced from what i'm used to hearing about, and what I got my old car done for a few years back from AzMountain.

What I'd like know is if anybody has any Tint "hookups". Like somebody that will do the big strip and all-around 5%. I got mine done for about $90 plus lunch in and hour and it's flawless. Guy did a great job. It was a friend of a friend from the Dezert Focus crew.

... k bye

5% in back, and 2 layers of 35% or what ever in the front, it's just a tad darker then the 5% with both layers, did that in case i got pulled over for it, just need to peel one layer off. unfortunately, then guy i got the hook up from doesn't work there anymore.
