rey-i do still have it--but i am not sure what i am going to do with it- might put it back on and see---we will have to see-- how many passes did you get that day you went to the track? and how many were 17.9 or better?? thats good that your times are getting faster- especially since you have a heavy s10-

later

Yes, my truck is heavy, but I was more consistant this time at the track than ever. 18.1's and 18's. my third out of five runs was my 17.9.
Just wondering about that intake tube. My cousin want's to make an intake like mine, even if he or I can buy it. So let me know! Later!
I was at the chevron last night and this Mitsubishi Mighty Max parks next to me. I didn't think anything of it because of the 55 gallon rubber-maid trashcan and broom that was in the bed. The guy recognized me from the emissions station were I tested his lime green "Fast and the Furious" first gen eclipse.(It looks identical to the one in the movie) We get to talking and he asked me if his truck would pass emissions. He pops the hood and low and behold, a 4g63 2.0L DOHC turbocharged motor from a Plymouth Laser! I was like "That's cool!" Then I had to break the news to him that it needed some type of air injection. Then he fired it up and revved it a few times and all kinds of people crowded to see a turbo-ed truck. He didn't have to do much fabricating; only the motor mounts and the motor slipped right into the trucks stock tranny, using the stock clutch and flywheel! He can't get on it because the clutch slips like nobody's business! I just wanted to share with you all the cool little truck that I saw out there!
Solarfirepower, did you happen to be at the chevron on wilmot and I-10 last night!? I saw a Yellow '03 Sunfire, but am not shure if it was you or just a passerby. I was in my Red truck with a black unpainted Xenon bumper cover.
Sorry Bro...I wasn't out that far that direction that night. I was around Wilmot and Broadway area picking up my wife from work. That and running Speedway Blvd to see what fools are still running the streets. Looks to me that the (so-called) racers are in hiding or they're just fearing us J's

Tried to get in touch with you through Yahoo IM Rey. I'm the one called cloud_rider9 or solar_firepower.
Checked my schedule silv02cav. Won't be able to go, but if you are meeting people at the Waffle House on Ina before you leave, then I'll stop by and say hi before you take off to the meet. I live right across from Bedroxx and it's not too far away from the Waffle House. This meet seems like a good thing though. I hope that we can make a big enough impression that all the other AZ cities can gather up and meet in Tucson. Good luck on that though. Tucson is BORING!!!
Rey, you do emissions testing? how much difficulty would a 78 celica have pasing? any idea? i'm thinkin about buyin one thats for sale here on base, but the guy hasn't had it tested. i don't wanna pay 500 for it if i'm gonna have to another 500 into it or more to get it to pass. thanks.
Hey Chris, if you wanted to bring that 78 celica through emissions, a few things you might consider before entering. If the car has been sitting for a while, you might want to take it to an auto shop with a scope to check for "Hydrocarbon" and "Carbon Monoxide" The lower the readings, the better! If the vehicle has an emissions label that requires the car to have a catalytic converter and some sort of Air Injection to the exhaust manifold or hookup to the cat. Last but not Least, The gas cap. Gas cap!? Yes gas cap. If it's '75 and newer, we are required to test the gas cap; If it's '72 to '74, we check to see if it has an evaporative canister. Because gas in the tank may turn into fumes, the purge valve opens to releave the gas tank of those fumes, then it is sent to the canister, thus requiring the gas cap to hold pressure. If there is something that you do not understand, let me know and I'll get right back with you!
well i could use a econd car right now. i'm married and have a kid, i would just feel a little better if i could leave the cava t home with her, and i could drive a beater to work. but the beater will have to wait. lol. and plus i want a rear wheel drive car at some point
I hear you on that one. I am in the process of doing a head job for my cavy. My worst fear for the head has come true. The head is CRACKED in the #2 combustion chamber to the water jacket. Water pressure would rise. and water would seep in and collect on the piston and continue to leak into the #2. Am now on the hunt for a new or used head.
Don't have time to go to junk yards. I work some strange full time hours and am just barley making it! That's all right though, I have my eye on a particular cylinder head!
