Need an engine
Saturday, March 26, 2005 5:26 PM
I need to bottom end of a 2.4L Twin Cam.... Anybody got one laying around (Jux)

BTW Jux.... I still need to get those parts from you that I told you that I was going to buy some time ago....

Anybody help me out? I have some stock 2.4L parts I would trade + cash for it. As long as it's not too expensive.

I have a 2.4L bottom end you can buy, Comes with a car. I don't know why jux would have a extra 2.4 laying around. If anybody did it would be Mike but I think he already sold it to greenfire.

Who is mike? I'm very desparate and now I have a supercharger, Secret Cams, RSM head, and HO header with no bottom end to mount to.

Well no luck so far so I'm gonna call on the help of the J-body Texans. Can you all get me phone numbers of junk yards in your area. DFW, Midland/Odessa, and San Angelo would be great but I can do the Central Texas area and SA if I have to.

If someone would help me find an engine at a good price ($500 or less) there could be a reward in it for you. Also, I'll let you have pick from my old engine. Block is good, rods are good, head is trashed, intake, header, ect are good. Plus the old injectors. Stock ones.

Let me know what you all can find. I'm still calling but all the places in Abilene area want near $1000 with trade.

BTW, I'm looking for a 2.4L Twin Cam with decent miles on it.

One guy here in town wanted $1200 for a 2.4L out of a 96 Sunfire with 160,000 miles. I gave him the finger over the phone. That was with trade too.

I'm want to go to the BBQ and the Bash. I need an engine so my car will move.

This sucks. Everybody around me wants $700+ for an engine. The one engine that I found that is cheap, I'm still waiting on him to email me back...

I NEED AN ENGINE!

I was telling Karo that that damn supercharger is eating from the inside out... Plus I want to go to the BBQ on the 14th.

I found an engine. Now I just got to figure out how to get it from Houston to Abilene. I think I'm going to rent a truck (like a U-haul or something) and go get it. When I have the engine sitting in my shop I can have it built and in the car in a week. Then I will be back on 4 wheels w/ a blower.

I wish I would afford my body kit before the Cook-Off.
