Well, I found a guy in Houston that is going to sell me the parts/engine that I need to get my car running so yea! If I can get this stuff and put my car back together, I'll get to go. Now I'm getting excited...

take a butt load of pics and maybe some videos(would like to see someone make a video of the meet to music and all. like someone who doesn't have their j w/them can park on the side of the road somewhere and do a shoot of all the j's rolling bye?!?!

its up in the air what we actual will do. we (splurgin) had the the pre-meet last year but we didn't really go by the agenda. we were going to bbq, mingle, take pics, but we ended up just passing out awards and shirts and then went to sonic to eat and chill for awhile. then we went to speed zone for most of the day. that evening/night we took group shots. after that some out-of-towners went to west-end to club and some went home/hotel. we were going to meet up for breakfast before everyone went home, but nope. ALL IN ALL WE HAD A GREAT TIME MEETING UP AND PUTTING NAMES AND FACES AND CARS TOGETHER!!! we MUST ALL realize not everyone is going to want to do the same thing, so please come open-minded its all about getting together and having fun. showing support for the j bodies(domestic) and that theres better things out there than Honda's/imports

we can crash a hooters or the such that evening, im sure there will be some staying till Sunday, i for one am going to try to get sat and sun off. but im planning right now for sat only and coming back sat night. maybe the locals can see about trophys(someone has the hook-up)for like the most traveled miles, best 1st,2nd,3rd gen cars, best sunfire,best cavy,best underconstrustion,best turbo/charged and best of show, etc etc.
something like that seeing as around 30 will be there. we could all pay like $5(x 30 people=$150) or $10(x30=$300) a person to go to awards and the park rental and towards food if we still cook-out. may-be we can go to something like a speed zone or the track it might be too hott to stay at the park and some will want to do something indoors. we otta find a car show that sat/sun and all enter even if your stock and show imports whos the unforeseen big dogs and risen.

it will be a matter of the locals bringing ideas in the area to do so we have choices/options i can just see the faces at the track if all 30 j's go to the track and line up. we could put the stock guys together to run, then those w/minor bolt-ons together etc etc.

Ok, well i just checked the Schedule at San Antonio Raceway and on Sat. May 14th they have some Pro Bracket Series. Which means we could probably get in and race, but it would be way more expensive than a friday night strret night type deal.

Also they show to have some Import Shootout friday night, the 13th. Looks like 15 bucks to race with gates open at 6pm, test and tune at 6:30 and heads up racing starting at 9pm with one qualifiying pass. Probably not what we would want to get into, im better at the brackets, since im still on the slow side.

Just thought i would post that so we knew ahead of time what ws going on at the track and not make the drive for nothing.

Trophys sound neet and all. But the track record for people actualy showing up to TEXAS meets has not been very great in the last couple years. So keep that in mind before anyone goes and drops $ on them.

I plan on staying around untill SUnday afternoon. Im going to be staying the night sat with Cavichick98 and her husband.

Sunday Im strongly thinking about riding the river. A 4 - 6 hour ride. and then head home right after. YES the water is cold people but it will be packed and you will get used to the temp of the water. Its a blast.

I'm all for everything you mentioned espescially lining up all the J's and running them for all there to see. I can only imagine what would hit people's minds as they see all these J's come from nowhere. If we do nothing more than bbq, hang out maybe a little volley and meet-greet-n-show i'd be satisfied with my trip

I'll bring my cammie with me too, but it's digital and I don't have a memory stick for it. I'll opt for every photo oportunity that comes along for my ride and I expect everyone to feel the same about their own. but if I'm driving all that way, I'm getting copies of this huge group pic somehow or another... along with my j next to my respected fellow j-lovers.
