well after seeing all the logos and coming up with one myself i have come to this conclusion: we cant get it together...lol..

i have tried to get some of ya'll to join domestic disturbance but it seems that most have established they're crews so since we cannot all come to an agreement on a logo or establish a state wide crew, i guess we'll have to compete against each other...may the best j's win...

as far as logos go. there are only a couple going around. nobody else puts up what that think looks good. they just give their opinion.

like i said before when we were deciding we dont want another battle about logos and/or names. we are ALL in the same game, just ones have different ideas. we here voted and decided as a group what we liked and wanted in the name and logo and we are happy with the way its going. this doesnt mean yall cant have yalls on groups with a different name but when we ever get together we are all together.half of us have the "texas j's" logo next to our jbody.org sticker. we've seen this get into a BIG debate when it does not need to. its impossiable to please everyone with a logo and name. bottom line is anyone can start a j club. we would like to see the name and logo statewide but theres no way to please every j in the BIG state of texas. plus we wanted something to represent the state we reside in and thats why its written in the state of texas. theres another group/club thats like 8 states(TX one of them) and thats called "simply j's"
red- ill get you stickers if ya still want to, but if you dont like the logo thats your call. you would be an asset to the club and maybe get another chapter started in that part of the state but it would be with our logo and name. doesnt matter to us. ITS ALL GOOD!
will when you say "we voted on" you are talking about the local dfw right? cuz i don't remember being a part of that desicion...but im not here to argue, just trying to make a point. yea we are all in the same game, but when we cannot share a logo or name, thats when we start competing against each other at carshows and such.... and i know its hard to satisfy everyone but if we(the state of texas) wanna be noticed, we gotta come together.....if we can't then we are battleing against each other...i don't want to do that, i wanna come together but it's going to require that we all have an open mind about eveyones ideas and really start brainstorming again on a name and logo...
and ur right, we can all start our own clubs but when it comes to big carshows like HIN, Heatwave ect...we need to have something..

I don't think this was just us in DFW area that "voted" If you start from the begining of this thread you'll notice people from all over but this was posted on the ORG not just dicussed at one of our local meet's. This thread was pulled up from the older message's and started back up again when the title/logo was already decided on. We went through many different font's and so on and so forth to try and come to a decision on. We agreed on May 9th or 10th on the Logo and had them made so that when we rolled down for the May 14th BBQ/Meet we could represent and show the finished result's to the Houston crew,San Antonio crew, Austin crew and who ever else that came to the meet. We got comp's but not everybody said they wanted a Texas J's logo for their selves or to strart their own chapter else where. The club tltie doesn't say DFW J's it Say's Texas J's for which it's open to all in the state. Sure some people aren't going to like the font's we've chosen but it has already been decided on.
I like Texas J's... and wouldn't mind starting a San Angelo/West Tex chapter (midland/odessa) or being part of it! I'm down for whatever

so im happy with the ones you got me. and i wouldnt mind starting a chapter here in austin. i met a couple of guys saturday night that have j's and ive been seeing a little more. so when i can get a good amount of guys interested i will try to establish a chapter here in atx if thats cool. but for now i just want to rep texas j's with yall. and trd going to shows is not all about competing. most people dont understand that when you go to shows it should be because of the love you have for you accomplishments on your car, showing off your custom work. grant that most people are about competition but hey everybody has their own motivation.

If we know someone around your area rather than it saying South Texas, South Texas to some is San Antonio,Houston, Corpus,South Padre,Brazoria, The list goes on and on. What's your intrest's,Hobbie's,etc,etc,etc. These are all question's in your profile for you to fill out.

me and some of the other guys have a few templates for here in San Antonio as well as a Car Audio Division we are planning....as soon as i get around to takin it to get done i'll post some pix..and if somone wants to email me a higher res. one i can get 1 printed to see how it actually looks...i'm not a big fan of HUGE NORMOUS banners..but stickers are cool...so here it is

this the one we are using in the dfw area. some have expressed starting chapters in other cities. we ,here, have talked about putting "texas jbodies" as banners since alot dont like "texas j's" that way it will be more pleasing to some. though most of us want it to say "texas j's". thats about the only way we will have that long of a name/logo. the one we got together is simple, informs what a j is, shows support for the state, isnt a mouthful to say, gives you a chance to talk about what a "j"is if they cant tell from reading. we have started to hear ones that noticed the logo's on other members cars and ones that have looking for us, look for the logo on the window.. the font is going to be a BIG issue in taste. we have earned alot of respect here with shows every weekend and meets we go to cops dont mess w/us but talk to us. we dont want any font that might even be considered gang style.though we all know its not, most might outside the club. some dont wont any texas theme, which we do. we are proud of the state we live in. so theres alot of opions to go into this idea for everyone to agree on, though we all wont be happy with parts of the decision. we here are running close to 12 strong and most have the "texas j's" logo. we are looking into shirts by this fall and banners.
