its good that you know how to utilize your money so that you have more but you don't have to rub it in everyones faces. All im saying is watch what you right down

the 1st time you were bashing me about mention places to stay, i was trying to help others out. a simple "watch watch you mention", would have been nice enough. then bashing about having sigs. i knew the type when you mentioned getting a limo for the show but i said nothing. a suv or van could be rented. or the hotel shuttle could take you there for next to nothing. the last commit about the paint pushed it over the hill mentioning "moneys not an issue for me". that commit was NOT needed. there was no reason for it at all. im glad you know how to manage money and going to school while working ill give you a hands up, but the i got money attitude was uncalled for!

so basically your really really far in debt, or you make 80k a year, to afford a house, brand new car, and go to school.

I make 38k a year, and with my $1138.00 mortgage, i have enough to get by but im definately not loaded, and never will say i am.

I MEAN IF YOUR LOADED SO MUCH GO BUY A VIPER. WHY EVEN HAVE A J?

i just cant wait to finish my car guys, so i can hang out with you at shows. I havent been showing up cause you see what my car is going through. Count me in next year for all the shows. Everytime i work on my car it makes me want to finish it. But with working fulltime and studying for my ccna, taking care of my house, its taking me a lot longer to finish but when its done it will be worth it. Beginning of the year of next year ill be adding insurance again. I took insurance off my car while i was doiing this body work cause of money issues too. 38k just doesnt go far with a house payment.

besides the few times ive disagreed with ones is when they make the sly remarks 1st. everyone knows im on here a lot and support the j community alot. i don't go around with attitude. im sure if you see my post(which is hard to miss) you see im always joking with the guys/gals on here. like Ramon said the rubbing it in our faces was just wrong , along with the 2 others that agree. other then that im here to help and support the j's.

my wife lost a baby and we've been struggling since with hospital bills and when she was outa work for a few weeks. we are now nearing just claiming bankrupt. so that attitude bothers me. no reason to show off that you have money. ask anyone im a go lucky person and help others if i can.

look in the other forum everyone is putting down what they are driving, where they are staying/meeting...I go to other local forums in my area and we've had problems with ppl mentioning "oh i just got a brand new expensive stereo...here are some pics" then the next week it's stolen...I've seen it happen...or people say "here's my new mod" and their car is vandalized...there are ALOT of haters out there and people who just want to see others go down...That's why I was like "watch what you say, and watch what's in your sig" I'm on your side not against you!!

As far as this forum...someone asked where to get theirs painted...I mentioned a guy that gives me good deals if I mention his business...We got ours painted and he did a DAMN good job...and we will have his busniess cards at HIN...

My husband is VP of a car club and the kids in his club are CONSTANTLY trying to do mods to their cars for cheap...then it gets messed up and we have to spend hours/days trying to fix it...if they would just save up their money and pay and get it done good the first time they'd save more money/time/agravation in the long run...

When it comes to having a nice/show quality car money should NOT be an object...This is a hobby...an expensive hobby at that and if you want to have an awesome car and get it into mags then you're going to have to pay big ass bucks...if you just want decent and cheap things and your satisfied with that then do what you do...Most of the cars on TV and mags are all 5+ year old cars with more than $30,000 dropped into it...

And we are not loaded or in debt...I drive a $15,000 car my husband has a $24,000 car and we live in a $80,000 house...That is just being normal middle class citizens

And as far as taking a limo...we have like 15-20 people in our group and a van only carries like 9...divide the cost of a limo for a day by 20 people and it's dirt cheap

Oh so now the things we put on our cars are CHEAP lady you are just one arrogant POS that thinks her SH!T dont stink. So we cant afford the most expensive things to put on our cars, so we cant afford to rent a fawking lino to go to a car show,so what if we cant ger 5-10k paint jobs. Its people like you that make these boards sh!ty.

It great that you live in a 80k house, and that your husband drives a 24k car, and you drive a j. I see you as the type who likes to flaunt your sh!t in other peoples faces. You think your all high and mighty well in my book your not worth the toilet paper i wipe my a$$ with.

Lacy,

Just to let you know, if i would of took my car in to a body shop and they did everything i have done on my car, it would of costed me prolly 10 grand or more. Ive got about 40 hours of body work in my car. Check out my current body work from the link above. I shop prolly wouldnt want to do my car anyways for all the work that i have done to it. My car started in college with a body kit and i never had the money to paint a shop so me and my friends would get together and fiberglass it and drink beer and sand it. So i learned alot about body work and dont mind doing it.

*molded body kit, molded taillights, shaved spoiler, molded evil eyelids, molded 7.2" screen in my car, molded cd player holder in my car, molded hvac*

i shop prolly wouldnt want to do all that work anyways. i use to work at a body shop and help my neighbor out when i was in college and home for the summers so i learned how to do the work myself.

and i THANK YOU for the warning but a little aggresive thats ALL. that didnt bother me as much as the i got money commit. im again THANKFUL for the insight on a great painter. i may need one down the road if i get a kit and will keep them in mind. i AGREE with EVERYTHING you said above.

your missing the whole point and avoiding the main commit, "moneys not an issue for me, though". theres no valid reason to put that in the post. thats a:' well i got money and you dont, huh' attitude. PERIOD. weither you ment it that way or not. UNCALLED FOR

well see if you would have said that there was alot of people going in the limo then we wouldnt have made those comments, but it sounded like there was only two of you going. I also apologize about the limo comment
Re: Who can paint in Texas?

Hey full kit I think it's cool that you are doing your own work...you were mentioning all the stuff you were doing and i thought you owned a shop or something...with all the labor and hours you are putting in I thought painting cars was your living (and if it's not then maybe it should be)

The guy who started this post wants a ram air hood painted for $250...So I mentioned the guy we go to...yes he may be pricey but he's in our neighborhood and does good work and I'm all about quality and local promotion...

I'm sorry the money comment came out wrong it sounds different typed out then what I meant...My husband and I are both military w/ no kids and we are hoping to turn his RSX into a COMPLETE show car...his car is an 03 and we've been looking for a body kit for the past 2 years...we by no means are dropping $30,000 into his car this year...when it's completely finished it probably will be an insane amount into but that will be over YEARS and YEARS...When it comes to our "project" of the RSX no money is not an issue...If we have to save up for 6 months to do a simple paint job then we will...that's it...like i said it's a 2003 and we finally have money saved to START on it...when it comes to parts and pieces for the car yes i guess we are snobs...but I feel that we work so hard for our money that we should be able to enjoy it a little and to enjoy we like to put it into the RSX...

In a year when our enlistment is up and we plan on moving to Philly...I'm going to school for fashion and my husband wants to go for autobody, mechanices, etc. etc...He hopes to open up his own shop...In this process we will probably be broke and nothing will happen to the RSX...My j is paid off so while we have the little bit of money now we want to start making things on the RSX happen

I had a guy here in Gainesville paint my hood, mirrors and rear finish panel for 300 bucks and he did and AWESOME job. The hood is absolutely flawless. No orange peel or fisheyes or anything. 100% perfect.

Now if i can scrape up the 750 to get the kit painted along with both front fenders (refinish), door handles and locks, spoiler (refinish) and touch up the chips along the door edge. This dude is awesome.....
