New to Houston
Saturday, September 10, 2005 7:51 PM
Hey guys, I'm new to Houston from Toronto, well a few months new, and was wondering how the jbody scene was down here. I left most of my mods in Canada so I was also looking for places here in Houston where I can go buy them again. WAI, strut bar, nothing major.

I have a 99 sunfire, black with Canadian plates. Not hard to miss

get your mods off group purchases and support the guys that make us deals, now you dont have to pay border fees!

there should be a few of us up for the meet in october up there from the DFW area.

Yes come on over to my house in late OCT for the meet.

As far as mods in Houston. I have never purchased anything at any shop in HOuston. Most laugh at me when I ask anyway.

Get online. Everything I have I got online and is cheeper than getting it at any shop anyway.

Yeah its plenty big. As long as we have dry weather I can pack alot in my front yeard. If its wet then we will have to stretch down the street.

There's a shop in SW area that sells some parts for the 02 and older J's but they focus mainly on the Neon/SRT-4's and Cobalt/Ion's.

Thanks for the welcome guys! I think I am in the south west part of Houston. The Westchase area. Near Kirkwood and Westheimer.

One thing I have come to realize here, lowered cars without coilovers, not so comfortable on a lot of these roads

Yeah your area sucks as far as roads go. Its not so bad up on the north side.
