motor swap

i am new to this whole j-body thing but i have a 02 cavalier coupe.. i was wanting to know what i could put in it motor wise it already has the 2.2 sfi in it could i put a 2.4 ecotec in it??? if so does it swap straight over or do i have to do some changes???

if its a 2002 you will need everything from the firewall forward to put a 2.2 ecotec, not a 2.4

harness, computer engine, possibly transmission.

will need the same things to run the 2.4...and i believe he was refering to the 2.4 ecotec

He is asking about swapping the 2.4 Ecotec. That link only has info about swapping the 2.4 LD9 or the 2.2 l61.

its gonna be a lot easier swapping ld9 or l61 into your car then that 2.4l ecotec

i have the computer and engine harness to swap an ecotec in, 300 bucks, has a matching bcm too. its a 5 speed w/ abs harness
all you will need is the engine and transmission. a 2.2 ecotec out of a 2003-2005 cavalier
