Hurricane Rita heading for Houston..are you ready?
Tuesday, September 20, 2005 4:14 PM
by Thursday its predicted to be a Category 4 Hurricane reaching winds up to 155 mph. Areas that are in low depth can expect anywhere between 13-18 ft of flooding. Do you think the city of Houston is ready??? According to news, Thursday we should know whether to evacuate or not . I know that I personally have no where to go but imma try to figure something out. I just want to say to my fellow Houstonians that to take this serious. the N.O. people didnt think it was gonna affect them as much and look what happened....I wish yall the best of luck and a safe way out.

Well i was watching a tv special on katrina that said that we were leaving a hurricane dormant season so that means lots more bad hurricanes.....we are already up to letter r and its not event to the end of the season.....science proffessor told me that the farthest that we ever make it is to the o's.

Looks like we are going to have some pretty bad damage but for houston the storm is supposed to be a cat 1 before it hits there.....galveston is the one that should be worried

well this is the way i see it...if a Cat. 5 can make it from N.O. to Mississippi and cause damage all the way up there, then we should expect the same from a Cat. 4

How does Premont TX sound to evacuate? Its south of Falfurias and west of Kingsville. My grandparents have a house down there that we are welcome to stay in since they are working in Arizona right now. Either way I'm getting the hell out of here. Just want to know if this is a safe place to go?

And i'm as ready as can be. I went to my house today and got saxophones, computers, pictures, and legal documents. The house can blow away and take the furniture and tv's with it. It's all just STUFF. I've got the most important things.. family.

if it becomes a cat 5 people.. please leave.. i work for 911 and the city is not ready.... no city could ever be prepared for the damage of a category 5.. we are already suffering supply shortages due to katrina evacuees.. dont make the mistake that people in new orleans made.. im at the point that im begging my family to go but they wont listen.. god i hope this thing is not the beast katrina was..

here comes the boost!

I live in Lubbock, Texas, so if any of you morons know how to navigate yourselves out of southeast Texas, then you're welcome to come here and sleep in my backyard. Please use the bathroom in the neighbors yard, and if you want food, there's a 7-11 down the street. Bwahaha. Actually, we're thinking of evacuating Lubbock, just for safety's sake, and heading to Mexico, and getting drunk.

Im live on the Northeast side of Houston.
Im not worried about the brunt of the hurricane but I am worried about Tornados.
THose pop up anyplace they want with no warning. Tornados are what tore my place up in the early 80s in this same area.

My brother in law and I are staying at his place. Weve got a generator, food, water, guns, and ammo. I feel safer at his place and my car will be better protected.

My truck will have to fend for itself. My dad dosnt want to leave his double wide. He can stay for all I care. You cant reason with my dad. But IM not staying in a trailer threw a cat 5. Ive heard that it hit 5 now. Screw all that.

They said on the Weather Channel that Gaviston's Expected to get at least 12 to 18 feet of rain. You can almost bet that part's of Houston are gonna get pretty close to the same amount's. Please make sure you guy's got Life Jacket's if your gonna stay behind. You never know. Hell I'm even worried and I'm 5 hrs from Galvaston. They said we could even get Tornado's Spawn'd from this bitch over the weekend. Hope every body make's it out OK.
