I've got a 96 cavy(2.2) The car needs a new timing chain from what I can tell. It's spinning the fly wheel with a werrrring sound and no crank....thrown a few chains in my days but ya never know I figure with economy the way it is it could be a win win Or anyone know what shops are charging......anyone interested ?

just a thought.....but..........if your chain broke, and your engine is turning over but the cam isnt turn cus of a broken chain....then that means the valves have probably taken hits from the pistons.......which also means youre probably going to need alot more than just a chain.......just a heads up.

I thought 2.2 and 2200 were non interference motors. I've had three chains go for what ever reason on other j's never a problem...but you never know with this one. its my sisters and with her luck .....maybe it's auction time
