here ya go

To access the motor mount, you have to remove the radiator reservoir.

Using Slip-Joint Pliers, remove the (2) small upper coolant hoses. Also, disconnect the coolant overflow hose. Note: Do NOT remove the lower coolant hose (larger diameter), lest you loose all your Dex-Cool!

Using a 10mm Socket, remove the reservoir mounting screw.

After some wriggling, the reservoir should pull straight up and away from its' mounting position. Pull the reservoir towards the front of the car to a convenient location. Note: be careful of the coolant hoses you disconnected earlier; they may begin leaking fluid if the ends are not kept upright.

The engine mount assembly uses (6) 15mm nuts. You only need to remove 4 of them. There are 3 primary mounting nuts, and one bracket nut. The bracket nut is the rear topmost nut on the motor mount . Using either a Deepwell 15mm Socket or wrench, remove these 4 nuts, starting with the bracket nut.

With the nuts removed, lift the motor mount cover up and off. Using a 1/2" Socket, remove the (2) motor mount bolts, and then remove the top engine mount (rubber mount).

For final assembly, the insert must go into the motor mount (on the car) first. Use a little soap to help when sliding the insert into the mount.

The mount should slide right in, and then the factory rubber mount will fit back into place up against the RKSport insert.

then ... clean up put everything back together ..
Thanks for the help, if i understand this, the rksport is a slide in rubber (comes a little slippery from factory) and goes between the engine mount and factory rubber mount. Any pics with the mod ??? thanks you all for the help

yup, neither mount on pre ecotecs do you have to support the engine...

on ecotecs, you only have to support the engine for the top mount cause its replacing the ENTIRE mount...
I just found it easier to remove the whole upper mount on the 2.4, which in that case engine supporting is 100% neccesary.
maybe if you wanna go through all that trouble of removing the entire mount, but its not neccessary if you can just slip in the insert and be done with the entire thing in about 15 minutes....
maybe if you wanna go through all that trouble of removing the entire mount, but its not neccessary if you can just slip in the insert and be done with the entire thing in about 15 minutes.... all you are doing is removing the plate that covers the engine mount and slipping it in, and reinstalling the cover plate...
I've never had any luck that way. Removing the whole mount prob takes about 5 mins longer if that. I've fought w that damn mount b4 try to slip it in for longer than that.
oh i thought it was a total replacement for all engines....my bad...well if you are taking the mount all the way out you should support the engine..........and on the upper mount for the eco's you don't need to take out the coolant resivoir.........i t may make it easier, but its not nessissary
Carefully cut off the old clip and go get a package of hose clamps for like 10 for 2 bucks.

Dremel works good for that just make sure you don't cut threw the hose. I know exactly what you are talking about when the clips get screwed up like that.

supporting the engine while removing the upper mount is 100% unnecessary. the engine is supported by the lower dogbone mount. If you are changing the lower mount the engine is still supported by the upper mount. the only time you would need to put a jack under the motor is if you are removing both mounts at the same time or while removing the tranny.

if you cant figure this one out you had better not even attempt any type of modifying or repair work on your car.
