removing stock air intake

just a general removal question. does anyone have any tips for removing the stock air intake assembly. i have a picture of it removed...it seems as if the fender must come off...any insight??

it makes it easier if u remove the wheel and the wheel well lining, they are 7mm screws and there is a push retainer close to the top of the wheel well. the lower part of your air intake holds your washer bottle on.

when i did mine i had to buy a new bottle form a s-10 blazer 90 to 94, the boxy sytle. i don't know how your kit runs. i made mine from scrash

i didnt remove anything i probably did what you did and just wiggled it out trough differerent angles. but its out so why ya askin?

when I took mine out, I didn't get it all lol. This spring I will get at it again. I only removed the top "bong" looking piece. will I notice a difference when I get the bottom piece out?

Do you need to only remove the whole stock air box/intake if you're only running a cold air intake???

Or even for a short ram intake??
