Agreed, very ridiculous question. NOBODY can guesstimate your power at the end of all that.

First off, what compression pistons are you putting back in? Nobody knows.

Second, you're not porting out the head... why not? It's off the car...

Third - You didn't state the size of your exhaust... so........ another wild guess.

Lastly, nobody is going to be able to tell you. If you overport the heads for the cams you'll lose power (I know this personally)... if your exhaust is too big you'll lose low end torque... if you don't install the 2.3 H.O properly you'll lose airflow, etc etc etc etc etc.

Too many variables, too many things to guess at. All I can say is build it and see for yourself bud.

And if you want to flame me, go ahead. I already built up an N/A LD9 with every bolt on possible without going totally hybrid. I've since moved on to something that will provide real power on this engine.

like 99redz24 said you have 150hp, but depending on your elevation you might see less.. a Stock 2.4L in Calgary puts out 130hp at the wheels. Calgary is 3,440 feet (1,048 metres) above sea level

come one guys, he said just take a guess, i'm guessing he means just take a stabe in the dark for sh*ts and giggles. and if he doesn't mean that, then big deal, just throw a guess, let him dyno it, and be on his marry way. also freebs, the 2.4 doesn't kick out 150whp stock, that is 150bhp. just thought i would clarify. i personally have no guess as to what it will kick out, i'm just trying to say, give him a break.

i am guessing the horsepower numbers wont be anywhere near a turbo system based on the same budget of all the work your doing.

I'd give you 165whp ...... if you have a lightened flywheel as well.

For sure....

nowhere near 165whp. it's closer to 180bhp.

Let's check it out.

Bore block and pistons - .010 is nothing - 5hp
Secret cams - 10hp
CAI and exhaust - 10hp
2.3 manifold and Tb - 5-10hp
Crank pulley - 0hp

So at best it's around 185. You'll be closer to 155whp tan 165whp.
