The artical was not over the 2200 it was over the 2.2 lots of head mods in the 2200....

they basically fixed "all" the issues it had in the 2.2 cooling problems that is...

and mine is very reliable and cheap no problems what so ever with the motor more with the car than the motor and it do "drive it like i stole it" my wife dosent even like riding with me, what does that tell you?....

displacment??? you could bore and stroke the 2200 just like you could any other...

but like he said before you could bore and stroke the 2.4 also and it would still be quicker...

some poeple(myself included) like being the underdog....and then beating that as$....
