Im very new and mods and etc. But i want to buy a header and we are gonna do it in shop class. That header will work with a 02 Ecotec 2.2L correct? And with that header will i need any other piping ?

Same thing with this one? what is the diff between the 2? What kind should i get?

Thanks,
Brandon

The second pic is a 4-2-1 for the 2.2L OHV, NOT the eco, so it will not work.

The first one is the pacesetter header, but doesnt look like an eco header. I could be wrong on that point however, but the header on the eco is behind the engine while the 2.2 OHV is in front.

Fact 1:

“Facts are meaningless. You could use facts to prove anything that’s even remotely
true.

First of all those pictures they posted aren’t the really thing. The first link is for your Ecotec. It is the 2.2L Ecotec Pacesetter headers. The second is for a different motor. The reason it wont work is because of the bolt patterns. Before you buy the headers you should ask the seller if the O2 censor is on the collector or on the #4 tube. If it is in the #4 tube, don't buy it. you want the O2 connector in the collector.

Now when it comes to quality every one is different. Run a search you will find so much info on the Pacesetter headers.

These headers are just black painted. they don’t have the ceramic coating. the ceramic coating gives the headers greater quality by being cooler and hold the heat in. The Pacesetter's also don't have a flex pipe welded in. The motor on the j-bodys have very weak motor mounts, you've probably noticed it if you watched it move around in there. now with the motor moving and no flexible areas it can break the header under stress. there are a lot of people that have broken headers. to lower this risk you should get stiffer motor mounts. You can find them on RKSport and several other places.

What I recommend is the RKSport headers. It is a lot more money but I feel it is going to give you better quality. That’s just my opinion though.

If you do get any headers keep them clean. It will help prevent them from cracking.

Correct me if I'm wrong any one...

RKSport's Eco header sux. It's fitment is not good.

And definitely get the ceramic coated one, because the black paint all flakes off and then the header rusts after the first time it gets hot.
