Is this catback specifically for the 03 Cavalier or is it the same as the ones made for the older cavaliers, because I can't seem to find one for an 03 Cavy

It should work for all years. Mine is a 97 and it worked just fine for mine. I am kind of in the same situation as Mike though. I have a urethane drift kit on and I might have to lower the rear hanger at the muffler a tad bit. I just dont want to melt the rear bumper because the tip is so big, I might just trim a little off the opening on the bumper. Other than that.. No problems what so ever. Nice deep growl. I also have Weapon R header and a catco high flow cat. Car sounds really mean and aggressive I had the exhaust before the header and cat bolted to stock and it still sounded mean and aggressive, but with the addition of a header and higher flowing cat it is better in my opinion.

the 99-05 are all the same , the 96-98 2.4 are close to the same , only difference are the hangers , the 99-05 have the hange like in his pic on the other page , the 98-older have the hanger behind the gas tank , and a different style at the muffler

all 95-05 catbacks are the exact same.

95 2.3 and the 96-98 2.4 are the same


and all from 99-05 are the same


rksport sells 1 system , there is 2 different pipes that attach from the cat and go straight back to a flange for the over axle pipe and they have both the 95-98 bracket on a clamp in the kit , and the welded bracket for the 99-05 exhaust


then there is the sunfire dual exhaust

Which sounds better? Rksport of Megan Racing?

I like the fact that MR is 2.5 but that is prally too much for my NA car. Right now im leaning on Rksport and if dont like the sound i will add a resonator at a later date... They are cheap..

OBX has a couple of Cat-Back systems for the Cavalier also, could take a look at those perhaps too. Just a suggestion.

Please people can you confirm what size is Megan Racing exhaust?
I heard and read many times that is a 2.5" exhaust system.

Why would they say that if all the piping was 2.25?

Using logic i would have to say the piping is 2.5 and it narrows down to 2.25 so that you can use ur stock cat.

My exhaust doesn't narrow to 2.25 at the cat, you can see in the pics I posted that the pipe stays the same size all the way.

you guys sure this isn't a custom put together exhaust system? I mean anyone could buy a muffler and some needed accessories and make an exhaust system and sell it carrying the name of a well know manufacturer. I recently bought a Megan Racing cat-back system on eBay and have been waiting already 7 days for the seller to ship it out. I might even have to wait 15 days, so that is why I'm getting suspicious.

pics are good and all but do you have any sound clips of the exhaust?

I have email Megan Racing before about this exhaust. They do make it and it is 2.5 inches but narrows to 2.25 where it attaches to the cat.

i ahve an 05 sunfire i guess they dont make one for that?????
