So I did some searching and im still not quite sure how your supposed to make the egr work with the swap. Modifying the intake isnt a problem and Im fine with the rest just a little confused about the egr valve. any help is appreciated.
block off plate put up with the code
Yeah, block off plate is your best way to go. I would stay away from EGR simulators because I have read a lot about people having problems with them. I just got a code scanner and clear the code everytime I start the car so the fan doesn't run non stop. I think you can also swith over to a 99 PCM and that eliminates the problem with the CEL all together. I also thought I read about someone making an adapter that extends the EGR over the manifold so that it will fit and you can fit the line coming from the EGR into the front of the manifold. I have yet to see any developments on this but I am still very interested.

"Kneel before ZOD!!!"
I've read that extending the egr causes problems
so the blockoff plate does not throw codes....
you scratch my ride IMA EAT YO CHILDREN
Thanks...I can deal with a code as long as the engine runs right...

lol, im the only person who has done this. And i have NO check engine light going on 3 months. No problems what so ever. The adapters will be out soon, its been taking me ALOT longer then i expected (its hard to find parts to make the install easy, and cheap the price down).

Must be something wrong with your car then. Did you have the car scaned for codes at all? If you removed your EGR and just blocked the port off your going to get a check engine light (unless the bulb is burnt out).

I think the one I am thinking of is a little different than your setup urweak. I remember reading it somewhere wish I remember where
Make sure you let me know about your setup once you get parts set up.

people have tried running a vac line to the EGR and tricking it that way. but that doesnt work. What i did, is the only way that works.

Thats an interesting setup. Looks good. What is the yellow hose made out of?

the yellow hose is a standard gas line for a stove......i havent had any issues with it and no codes for EGR .....
theres a little more to it than just flipping it upside down.......if anyone wants pics lemme know

Yea, it looks that way. I am guessing you have 2 bolts holding it inplace instead of the normal 3? And i would guess you had to notch it some to get the gas to flow threw the stock mount upside down, or did you do something else. Also, how did you get it on an angle like that (for some reason it looks that way)?

yea that would be good. with that, theres probably no more need for me to make the mounting brakets i was working on.

PhilioZ24 - You should DEFInitly do a tech right you would help ME and many out EGR valve-less Org. members
Urweak- You should still try to make your mounting bracket its still a great idea
make the egr work with the gm s/c.
i am just clearing my egr code each time i start the car, takes 30 seconds with a code scanner. sorta a pain, but i am used to it.
