2.2&2.4 throttle body - Performance Forum

i have a 2.2 ohv and was wondering if the 2.4 throttle body was any bigger and would it fit .thanx

if its the 95 in your profile thats in question, no, you cant change your throttle body. its an integral part of the plenum. you'd have to either remove your plenum or get a new one, and take it to a machine shop to have them bore it out, BUT, without any supporting mods, such as higher ratio rockers or a larger cam/ higher compression ratio pistons, you could atually hurt your performance by going for a larger throttle body. and as a general rule, the parts from the 2.4 ld9 (twin cam) and the 2.2 ln2 (ohv) are not interchangeable.
