I have the GM supercharger and was wondering what header I should go with.
4-2-1 or 4-1

Either the Pacesetter Ceramic coated, or the DC Sports. Either one is good, if you dont mind cutting the exhaust a little you can save some $ with the pacesetter, if you want a direct bolt up get the DC Sports. We carry both @ www.TurboTechRacing.com

Did you mean the other way around. It looked from the description you have on your website that the Pacesetter is a direct bolt on and the DC sports eliminates the cat. You would have to weld if one in if you wanted to keep it. The ceramic coated pacesetter is cheaper than the DC sports as you mentioned.

Any kinda of F.I. you wanna get the gasses our as fast as possible.
Both designs are similar, but the 4-1 will be better for you.
Aaron,
Both headers in stock?
I wanna get in on all the exhaust stuff by the end of the week.

It also states some fab required on the Pacesetter description. Which means you have to cut your stock exhaust, the DC Sports is a direct bolt on.

id go with the pacesetter , i was happy with the increase it had with my 2.4 s/c

The RK Sport header costs more than the DC Sports one does from what I see...and you still have to cut in front of your stock cat and then weld the header to the cat. BS if you ask me...I wouldn't want to pay $450 for a header and still need to have something welded...and to the stock diameter cat at that.
It's such a pain that all of these exhaust products narrow to the stock size by the catalytic converter. Because of that it seems the only way to get as efficient of exhaust as possible is to go with a mostly custom setup - which is why it doesn't hardly make sense to drop the kind of change needed to buy a header like the RK Sport or DC Sports. I do like the idea of a 4-2-1 though...
So far the problem with the dc sports one is that is gets rid of the cat. I am looking for a header I can bolt to the stock exhaust and then complete the exhaust later with a high flow cat. Right now I am building the engine and I do not have the money to do a full exhaust There are no emissions test where I live in Iowa so I do not need a cat. The only reason I would want to get rid of the cat is to put in another or a longer resonator if I did not like the sound of my full exhaust setup. As far as I know the cat quiets it down a litle anyway.
My real ? is with my setup is 4-1 better or 4-2-1

Was the DC sports one you mention in this thread on a supercharged 2.4? I could not tell from the pics.

no its on my n/a cav
but n/a i think my pacesetter made more butt power
rkcrappy's header has to many bends in it to flow enough , and it will heat up under the hood alot more than any other header for the 2/4 out there
Yeah the sound of the RKSport one is AWESOME!

Actually, the DC Sports header comes with a flange so you can make your own section of pipe to connect the pipe. I am using now to go from 2.25" at the flange to a 3" opening at the cat

x2
Id love to go with that header but way too much in price. I think like $600 for it (correct me if Im way off) but you get the idea!
I believe the 4-1 is the best way to go for a SC car.
now DIE!
it put down 5whp more then a rksport one, "the" best header for a 2.4 period

Agreed.... Again!

Are you basing off what the Stan's/Isuzu website says?

Because the RK Sport 4-2-1 header was not available in 2001. So the one they compared it to was the 4-1 RK Sport header.
Carry on.

rkcrappys 4-2-1 header is still a large pile of crap
