Eco Cam Caps

I bought a motor off Darkstars to replace the one that blew in my 02 Fire. Now that I finally have the cams in place and the motor timed I can start buttoning in up. Since the motor cam with no cams in it I don't know what cam cap goes where. Does someone have a diagram of what one goes where?

they should be numbered on the top with a little arrow.


the arrow points towards the timing chain. the numbers go in this order

exhaust manifold
<1 <2 <3 <4 <5
<6 <7 <8 <9 <10
intake manifold

Thanks PJ. One more question guys. Do I lube the caps with oil or assembly lube?

oil is fine. the torque sequence on the caps is pretty important tho. you can do one cam at a time...

-Camshaft bearing cap bolt………………………….10 N-m / 89 lb in

be sure to torque it to that. I brought all of the caps down together, roughly 3 turns on each side and just kept going up and down the line. (do one cam at a time). Then torqued it down.

are these bearing cap bolts reusable? if not, then does anyone know the dimensions so i can order then from ARP?

yes they are reusable as long as they are in good shape.

FYI for anyone else who gets in Thevillagemon's position, if you look down in the head, near piston #1 there are markings to tell you where to start. Number 1 and 6.
