Well....for an update. I don't yet know mcmoney's design....but I'm preemptively stepping down from making these gears with intent to produce for sale at this point. I'm confident others' design will be cheaper and give most all the options most people are looking for anyway. My design would be more like an expensive version of the others with possibly little differences other than additional add-on's which will run the price north some...not sure how much. At this point I'm still waiting to get my gears back from a company that is getting me the dimensions of the gear teeth. I'll keep slowly plugging away at it little by little and maybe keep people in the loop if there is any interest for me to do so, but I'm sure other peoples design will be up for sale before I'm done with mine.....basically cause my build just went on cruise control at this point....so I'm in no hurry.

These would be neat to have along with an easily removable timing cover. If im not mistaken everyone scrapped the idea so far since it would cost a lot for a non-business to make.
i found us a decent option... a guy that drills 2 separate cam pin holes adjacent to the stock hole. allowing you to move cam timing. un-sure on how much. un-sure on price. and un-sure on custom adjustment holes for people. he did do all the work on a lathe/drill press and did it right though.
ive got a pic on my camera but im headed to work. i will put it up tonight.
I must confess... I feel like a monster!
Is there a ball park price?

Very impressive. All that is left is some timing marks

Yes, very nice indeed....I will PM you on a custom design for myself if you think you can do it for me?
I've given up trying to get a company to scan the gears cost effectively. Blah...too much hassle for what I'm trying to do. Since you have already re-invented the 'wheel'....I'd rather get what I want done thru you....lots easier for me.

OH MY GOD
that is seriously one of the absolute sexiest LD9 parts i have ever seen. mad props.
one concern though... wont the hard steel chain eat into that soft aluminum?

I would advise against aluminum for the teeth, but an aluminum hub would be fine.

Ahh your right Gary, looks to be different color from the hub. Darker, which is steel.

Looks good! Can't be cheap though lol
wow it's gotta be steel. i cant imagine him making the gear section out of aluminum. that wouldn't work at all. and i am pretty sure he is smarter than that...
price? dont care. ill take a set in due time.
so i guess now we should discuss timing adjustments...
what does everybody think LG0 cams would work best with?
I must confess... I feel like a monster!
the hub is made in aluminum
the gear in hardened steel
this gear is 3.2 ounces lighter than stock gear maybe more with the final design
and for price i don't know yet, maybe 220$ each
Location: Montreal, Quebec
sweet. i am so down.
I must confess... I feel like a monster!
220 each gear?
Btw, I have NO idea how adjusing these works. If you adjust the top gears, how is the chain gonna move on the crank gear when adjusting through the timing cover?
