Well, my dad decided that in light of what others have said... here & elsewhere... that tomorrow we'll take it to his mechanic for a diagnosis, since me just trying replacing parts is more expensive & too much of a hassle in this cold weather right now. Besides... My friend, who's been living with us for about a year now, needs something to look for work in & I volunteered it. Am I a nice guy or what?

NOTE: The tps that was on it was from advance..a replacement, it had a "spring" type trigger inside. For example: you could put your finger inside of it turn it and pull out and it would spring back.
It was replaced with an original part from a cavalier bought off of ebay...no "spring" type action, smooth rotation ..
Hasn't jerked since...runs smooth as ever.
