I connected to the stock fuel filter so i could still connect to stock tank lines. Also makes replacement easier!

I will have to find the info for the fitting.

Looks good, Question.. Did you replace the lame clip connector on the other side of the filter?

I am researching how to replace the whole fuel line from tank to engine and return lines. I want to run -8an fuel line with fittings, and in-line filter. The problem I am running in to is those clip connectors on the fuel lines. Any ideas on what to use to replace them?

Nope. That is why i used the stock fuel filter, so I didnt have to change a whole lot. Hopefully i can convince Jared to go to a fuel cell here soon and run a A1000.

You could find a barb fitting and cut that connector off, that is how the stock connector is attached...

Thanks for the help. I also found this in another post. It's a Aeromotive -8AN to the GM connectors.

That will help you connect to the line in your engine bay, but not back by the fuel filter, notice it looks exactly like the connection that your trying to get rid of....

Rather than using the i.d. adapter fitting for the end of the rail, is anyone using the ACCEL 74565? It's 1:1, and way more cost friendly since the entire regulator doesn't cost much more than the adapter fitting AND an afpr. You'd just be able to run a/n lines from that I would think if you decided to go that route

Blew it up, build numbers coming soon

I was thinking of using that fitting on the 3 plastic fittings on the fuel pump.

So I was thinking about just doing it this way. Come spring time Ill be replacing my pump and filter, and was thinking about just upgrading the rail and feed line now if I can figure out what to do about the rail. Soo I have a few questions:

1. If I were to just swap out the stock feed line with a larger 8an braided line, would I have to change my tune? Most Ive seen do this have had more built setups and not just a more moderate 240-270whp daily driven car.

2. About how long of braided hose is good to go from the stock fuel filter up to the rail area. Also did you remove your complete factory feed line or just leave it?

3.What fuel rail options are available for us? Are there still Venoms and rk's being made or do I have to get lucky in the classifieds? I know of Marks too, but has anyone just modified the stock rail by like welding or tapping or someting for an fttings?

4. Is there anyone still making the afpr adapters to use universal adapters? Also does anyone know what size fitting is in the end of the stock rail that maybe you could get a fitting to go on?

Thanks in advance everyone!

I am hoping to do the same thing it seems like you are doing mike so I am hoping someone who has already upgraded their lines will guide us in the right direction!

1. Mike did you see Jareds car at the bash? That was with Brian's tune, Racetronix fuel pump and upgrade fuel lines. We were running sub 9s afr... I am going to say yes you will need a tune, but you would need one with the fuel pump I think.

2.I bought 15' for Jareds car. It would be a pain just to remove the stock line by itself. The only stock line we have under the car is the evap line lol

3.I think you will have to search around for a rail or just get your stocker welded. You might be able to tap the feed side, but the return side will need an adapter or something welded on.

4.Phil Lindsay makes the return side adapter, contact him for more info. He is the only one making them any more. I have looked in to a fitting that fits the stock one, but I couldn't find anything or it was too much $$, I don't remember which.

Hmm maybe I need to make some kits

Well, here is my finished idea of removing the lines starting a the pump.

I salvaged 2 rubber quick disconnect fuel rail lines (one 5/16 return & 3/8 main).
Bought a 3/8" male to -6AN male, 5/16"male to -6AN male, & -6AN female to -8AN male; (couldn't find a 3/8" to -8AN)

The fittings:

http://www.summitracing.com/parts/RUS-640930/
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/FRA-497308/

Cut the quick disconnects off of one end; which I plan on hose clamping on to the plastic fittings on the pump.

The previous idea with the other quick disconnects wouldn't work cuz the pump nipples are barbed not nippled like quick disconnects are.

Jason, no that is my Walbro inline. My fuel filter is here, ran on the drivers side following the lines of the stock fuel and brake lines.

Got all lines done from pump to engine; -8AN feed & -6AN return; have no issues with it. But I can't remeber where the metal line that ran from the charcoal canister goes, and I can't just check cuz in mid process of ecotec swap with no engine in the car. Does anyone remember what it ran to?

Here's cheesy diagram... I have a "?" on the line I am reffering to

That line goes to the front of the car and connects to a valve that is bolted to the power sterring pump on a 2.2 ecotec.
