IIRC Ben Wenzel (sp?) had found a set.

I didnt think of where the lobes are. Im sure they would be timed differently

Ahhh Wen Benzel. I havent seen him around in awhile. Haha.

Its hard to tell. It just depends on if the original maker of the cams is using blanks or doing regrinds. A lot of single cam Honda cams are regrinds but the companies dont advertise it haha.

Brian (TheSundownFire) wrote:Thats definitely doable as long as the Intake and Exhaust Centerlines are in the same place as the stock cams. Youre pretty much stuck with what the cast cam comes with unless youre rocking some adjustable cam gears (still havent looked to far into this) or have the ability to degree the cam by welding the keyway shut and cutting it out a certain amount of degrees and spin balancing that bad boy. Im thinking Colt wanted $150 for a single 8v cam. $300 for a set of custom cams would be great if everything could be made identical.

Now Im wondering if anyone has tried getting Eco cam blanks.

you can cam blanks from tom at c.e.d. if you want lsj blanks you have to run 2 l61 intake blanks

Yeah I had just talked to Geoff at Colt last year about custom grinds...he's still at about $320 for any custom eco grind with a core.

Apparently JEGS sells Eco cam blanks also. $90.99 a piece.

So right around $500 for a copy of some nasty Imotec or Cat Cams. They both have some boost profiles too. Didnt really look at how they compare with Comps profiles.
