What exhaust manifold setup do you guys with the 2.3 head/2.4 block ppl use? I know it's not the best flowing but would the stock 'header' setup from like the grand am fit my cavalier. Any other suggestions. Not quite sure where I can get someone to make me a setup around here
The stock header looking manifold will kind of fit. The 4-2 section fits fine but the 2-1 section does not clear the jbody firewall. However that section is crinkle bent from factory anyways and restricts flow. Replace it with a custom 2-1 section using 1 7/8" piping and you should have a pretty nice flowing 4-2-1 header.
That's the answer I was looking for! My buddy and his dad own an exhaust shop so the 2-1 part should be easy to do. It was the 4-2 part I was worried about
Ported 90-92' Cast Exhaust manifold (aka. HO exhaust manifold). 4-1 design. The 4-2-1 steel manifold should work fine, though.
