Ecotec Tach Adapter Wiring

Ok...im just trying to get a final reference for wiring this thing up for my portfueler.

Signal wire on the ICM is the white or orange. Correct? Also, the adapter needs 12v so can I just solder it into the pink wire on the ICM as well?

why do you need the tach adapter anyways? can't you just give it the trigger signal at the ICM?

white is coil A (cylinder 1 and 4)
orange is coil B (cylinder 2 and 3)

12v pink on the icm seems fine to me as well

The instructions Hahn provided said the adapter needs to be installed.

jegs has a nice tach that you can set for 2 cylinder operation so there would be no need for adaptor

This isn't for a tach tho. Its for a portfueler.

I have mine hooked up the my tach adapter as well.

I grabbed a separate power source for the unit, I didn't fancy the idea of stealing power from the ICM, but I'm sure it would be fine.

I just used an add-a-fuse and found a ignition only power source....don't even remember what it was.

PJ, the portfueler is speed density, so it needs an accurate RPM signal to reference.
