I think its the rings... popped a random misfire code, but like i said will cruise down the highway and overdrive is finicky.. going to test cylinders psi and add engine restore to seal the rings.

Uh - engine restore won't seal the rings if you have fried them due to the head.

You really need to get your hands on a stock one and get that head off the car and inspect exactly how much you decked off of it before you ruin the bottom end.

.020 off the head. Next week im going to pull the cover and time it again. May just be a tooth off like saying. Will die sitting at a light and start up again... does rev down slower than normal. Cruising down the road itll cut out and hesitate.

I ended up just throwing the old head on a junk bottom end and goin to picknpull and picking up a stock engine. Less issues. Especially when my car was down for soooooo long. Did the 2.3 head and that engine destroyed the #1 piston. Why I have no clue but loving my stock no issue block.
