I am submitting my possible mod list to see opinions. I am looking to do all basic bolt-ons and I am wondering what to expect as far as horsepower and 1/4th mile time with these mods.
These mods would be going on a 2004 Cavalier 5-speed coupe with 105k miles.
For comparison, about how much horsepower does my car make stock, and about what does it run in the 1/4 mile stock?

My list:
Upper and lower motor mounts
Cold Air Intake
Header
Magnaflow Converter
Aftermarket muffler
(I assume 2.25 inch exhaust would be best for my application)
Underdrive pullies
Weight reduction
And I am not sure if a bigger throttle-body would be needed or helpful, please let me know
Short throw shifter?
Any other suggestions for bolt-on parts?

What kind of horsepower numbers would I see with this, and what 1/4 mile time should I see with these mods assuming an average driver and decent conditions?

If I had to guess you would see a 10-15hp increase tops. Your really not adding power just freeing up wasted engergy.




On the inside my car looks like a fighter jet.

Tuning would help make the mods more efficient as well
