Put the tranny on and mounts.
Epoxed the end of my fuel lines
Cleand the block for the oil pan

Don't know if the pressur plate is installed right. Directions say to install the light side of the pressure plate marked with paint to the heavy side of the flywheel stamped with an X. The pressure plate has so many paint makes its ridiculous and the flywheel has no X.

Geez thats dirty lol.

Im finally home. Here is a pic of my valve cover off. I have about 140,000km on this motor.

It all looks good though. I like seeing someone taking the time to make it right. Hope you enjoy that ecotec power!

Powder coated the oil pan.
Installed the ttr control arm bushings
Installed the oil pan
Installed the prothane dog bone mount
Painted the control arms
Painted the dipstick, powdercoat wouldn't stick to half of it.

Your engine has 140,000 km which is 86,000 miles. I bet you this engine has well over 150,000 miles. That's over 250,000 km. my car has 162,000 miles on it. This engine isn't that bad. I saw a lot worse. I only paid $80 for it and $50 for the transmission.

removed the broken tentioner from the cylinder head. Need a 1 1/4 wrench.
Balance shafts are getting deleted. Freeing up a ton of wasted power.
Trying to figure out why there is so much play in my mounts????

It wouldnt be a bad idea to get the revised version of the tensioner.

Its the one big weakness of the eco.

40 dollars for piece of mind!

DEFINITELY get the new style tensioner. The old style is a 2 piece and the piece on the end that pushes against the tensioner guide has a tendency to fall off. The new one has a snap ring to hold it on.

It fell off on me 2 times already and took me forever to get it to reset.

Lol there's your sign buddy. Thought I mentioned this via text but I guess it was someone else. Good news is that it's easy to do without taking it all apart. Just pull the valve cover or timing cover so you can hold the chain in place and replace the tensioner.

Maybe I'll just put a snapping on it haha. I'll see if I can pick one tomorrow. I'll just call napa, advance auto parts, autozone, and all the other shops have them all deliver them and pick one then send the rest back lol
