Installed my ebrake boot. Old one is sewn on so I had to cut the threads to take it off, then I glued the new one on with 5 min epoxy and clamps.

Both of my J's had the same issue. Just crappy gm craftsmanship I guess.

Sorry for the lack of updates guys but I have been contemplating on either selling the car or auctioning it off to pay for some things. I had quite a few offers on it already. I doubt I will ever get to really drive the car even if its done. The car will get done but I am still not sure if keeping it will be worth it. Just wanted to thank everyone who helped get it this far.

Received new power window motors with regulators today.
Still have a lot of wires to clean up under the dash.
Installed my new power windows. They are so fast now.
Had to buy a 1/4in rivet gun. The 4 rivet guns I have didn't go that big

Installed the pulse timers to make my windows roll down with the trunk button, the windows roll up with the lock button, they very 2inch with the unlock button. If the doors are unlocked the trunk pops like normal. I used a micro switch to separate the trunk from the windows when the doors are locked or unlocked. Also this is all disabled when the ignition is on, done so by using 4 relays that are open with off and closed when ignition is on so no one loses an arm by pressing the inside lock and unlock buttons. I also cleaned up a lot of wiring too. Also changed all my fuses to Easy ID fuses that light up red when they are blown.

Here is a video in action.

They are really easy to do when you have the right rivet gun. It makes installing motors so much easier and faster. You can seriously do a window motor and regulator swap in 15mins once the door panel is off if you use rivets. Ive used them on 4 or 5 cars now. Nuts and bolts are so time consuming.

yep, the same direction I went after 2 different slow window motors....

brake lines may still rust I think as the water will come from inside the lines eventually, I bet you are planning on using non hydroscopic dot 5?

Dot 5 does not work with abs. I will use dot 4.

I may run dot 5.1 as its boiling point is 500*F which is higher then dot 3 or 4. Dot 5 is bad for a daily as it doesn't absorb moisture which will cause your brake lines to rust if there is water pockets, it can freeze or boil also. You want hydroscopic fluid so the moisture mixed in the fluid this is way safer and better in the long run the the alternative.
