Have had a nasty intake leak for the longest time I fixed it now the idle won't go below 2k and the stop is turned all the way down

Have you tried cleaning the intake or Air flow sensor? Maybe from the leak it sucked in dirt or whatever else.
Sounds like you still have a vacuum leak. Is the idle valve functioning and are there any CEL codes?
