What kind of options do I have for heads/cams when boosting my Ld9?

Any 2.4 head will work for you. You have the choice of 96-99 and 00-02. There are slight differences in the heads but both will flow on par with one another once ported and polished. As for cams I wouldlook into getting a set of HO cams and moddng them to run on a 2.4. The HO cams seem to love boost. Youll need to run 2.3 springs(or other alternatives) on your 2.4 head though which means boring your cam tower lifter holes to accept the 35mm lifters from a 2.3. There is also a crower setup that allows you to run te 2.4 lifters byu wil ned to cearance the ca towersfor the lobes tohaeclearance.

So I need 2.3 cams, springs and lifters. What psi can that handle? And know of anywhere or anyone I can get that from?

Also are you referring to the LG0 or the W41?

LG0 = HO.

W41 is a more aggressive cam (good for boost) but has more valve overlap (less effective for boost), that was only in the W41 equipped Oldsmobiles (that i know of).

I was reading some of those threads and it seems like everyone is saying they are good. Pricey but good.

The jbp cams are kind ofover rated. The stage 1 are the same profile as secret cams and the stage 2 would be great for a torquey application but not so much for boost. LGO cams are HO cams. They will be your best bet and can be found anywhere between $100 AND $300 depending on the seller. Any cams with lift higher than the secret cams will need the better springs and the larger lifters to accomodate for thebigger wder springs.

So if I wasn't worried(ie. not worried about the cost or work involved) about having to get new springs and lifters. What would be the best option for a goal of 350 and possibly higher in the future?

If I went with the stage 1 jbp cams would I need to modify my engine like I would with the secret cam swap?

For 350 and the psi you suggested you wanted to run in the other post I would reccomend the HO or W41 cams. You are going to need all the help you can get. HO and w41 cams have been in 500+ whp cars o this forum.

huh? If you read my post they are basically the same as the secret cams. secret cams have tad less lift on the intake, but not little enough difference to justify spending the money on jbp stage 1 cams. Your stock lifters and springs will work fine with either of those setups. At 8 or so psi I feel that you will be hard pressed to pass 300whp with these cams maxed out with all the other goodies you may see 350.

So I found some ho cams from a 90 grand am at a jy. Whats the better one:
exhaust, 0.70mm thick timing chain housing cover gasket
Or
exhaust, 3.40mm thick timing chain housing cover gasket

If I could get the HO cams. Should I get the 2.3 cam towers as well? Or what else would I need off the 2.3?

You will need the cams, atleast the exhaust tower, and lifter. The intake tower is useless if you want to keep powe steering. The 2.3 pump wont fit the 2.4 head due to the egr passage. In order to use 2.4 power steering you will need to have the 2.4 tower bored out to fit the 2.3 lifters and the cam modified with a hex insert to run the power steering.
