hey guys im new here and i was wondering what motor swap would be the best performance orinted motor swap ik the 3400 but i was wondering wouldnt a ecotec 2.2 out of a 3 gen cavy/sunfire bolt up or would i have to do majoir modifcations? thanks and id love to hear your swap i deas im lookingf for something not that hard and less fabricating.. thanks

IIRC, you need to weld brackets in for all the mounts. It will fit in there just fine. Look around in the 2nd gen forum for the swap thread.

oak thanks but what would be the better option now that ik this can be done ik there isnt a biggg aftermarket support for the both motors but which is best to moddify? for horsepower and torque?

How much do you want to spend? The ECO has more aftermarket support, but the 3400 has more HP to start.

money isnt an option as its going to be built over time .... im trying to figure what would be better to do

If money is no issue, build a twin turbo 3900.

It really depends on a lot of things. Drag race? Reliability? Streetability? Initial cost? Etc etc
