My friend after I beat his Rice burner by 3 Cars: " Well at least u could hear me comin wit my new exhuast."
now....why cant somone do that EXACT setup...but MINUS the v8...turn a 2.4 sideways and make that work....have a beefed out cav 2.4 with a tube chassis and fuckn RWD....THAT would be cooler
who needs the v8...not me, im fine with my 2.4...id just rather have RWD
Like everyone says, with enough time, money and skill anything can be done. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=2488207969&category=6163
a few people did this a few years ago... there were pics of it posted. it was a blue and white prostreet RWD cavalier.
most people dont do things like this cause fabrication is alot of time and money... and then once you do it....then what? you have a rwd car and have to setup the suspension.
chances are it might not be a streetable car at that.... thats why most dont do it...

there was a guy that put a late 80s camaro small block in to his 80 something cavalier hatchback. rwd an all. wasnt a drag car, just a daily driver rwd v8 cavalier.
How about that!!!!!!!!!??????? That's Freakin AWESOME!
That's not a Cavalier. That's a purpose built pro-street car that happens to have Cavalier sheet metal on top of it.
i agree with zliner and fast97z24.
There's no trace of cavalier engineering left to say it's a cavie.
And a Blown, Turbo, Nitro, 2.4 jussst seems right to me for these cars.
RWD would be cool yeah, but what about AWD!!! now thaaaaaat would be cool.
Notice: It does NOT come with an engine or transmission.
The auction is for the body and suspension. Lame.
that is a poor job too. I am dieing to put an ls1 six speed in my 97. I just cant justify that project. Its still a cavalier ls1 or not........
Its a unibody sitting atop S10 frame rails... gehy.

A streetable rwd setup would kickass and preferably a v8.
why would you want 4 less cyliders, not to mention you lose more horsepower by the time it gets to the ground with RWD.

Actually, RWD is around 5-8% more efficient than FWD, due to the fact that the energy undergoes fewer changes of direction.
unless that rwd happens to be in a fiero.........

i think the fwd northstart v8 would be a good swap into a cavi, if it would fit.
I wonder how well it handles?

Noise doesnt add horsepower. Horsepower adds noise.
