I have a Walbro 255lph Inline pump installed on my Z... I bought the pump to provide extra flow with my Nitrous system. I have had it on for a few days with it wired into the factory pump relay. Works good, but like all Inlines it is LOUD AS H3LL!!!!
My question is.. I took the power off the pump and ran the car with only the stock pump. Is this bad on the inline to run fuel through it w/ it off? If it is not harsh on the pump, I was thinkin off just hookin it up to a switch so I can turn on and off as needed.
Any help is greatly appreciated... Please do not tell me to get the in tank Walbro or the blazer pump, they do not interest me at this point.. Thanx...
Most inline pumps are pushers not puller type pumps so running an inline without the intank will cause he inline to burn up pretty quick.
sorry about that....I haven't been to sleep at all tonite and after reading your post a second time I realized I read what it said ass backwards the 1st time.
I dont think not having the inline hooked up will cause a problem. I would watch it though, it might restrict the fuel flow so just be careful and watch for the car cutting out or anything like that.
Kewl, thanx for the info. As far as the "restriction" , I have been monitoring that for a couple days on my Wideband and everything is great. A/F is no more than 13.6 at WOT... That is bout normal for my car.
