99 sunfire gt ld9 its a dirt track race car.When i start it it smoke a little black but once it warms up it goes away it has a aftermarket temp gauge in it so the sensor isn't plugged in would that do it
Yep I bet it will because it has to know coolant temp for the ecm to switch to closed loop. So your running on ve tables only.

And it thinks the car is like -314*F so its just going to be dumping fuel all the tine.
