dear god we got some big time parts today.
me and paul pulled a 93 HO motor and nvg trans  took us like 2.5 hours LOL
i got 8 idi covers  a bunch of interior pieces etc.
lots of fun. pretty crazy.

not too bad, they came in quite a few vehicles

it's not really the trans thats hard to find (there is like 3 pages worth of them on car-part.com). whats hard to find are replacement parts.
they simply do not exist. so if you mess something up, you gotta just go buy a new tranny.

Hey brad why am I haveing my cam towers machined to fit the 2.3 lifters again? Will the 2.3 springs not work with the 2.4 lifters? or is it the keepers that are different? What exactly needs to happen to get the stronger spring to work??

its up to you.
u can use 2.4 retainers and 2.4 lifters. you dont even need to bother with 2.3 lifters. but its risky and i dont think after what happened to you're motor that you wanna risk anything anymore...
u only need to bore the intake tower, you just use a 2.3 exhaust tower, no modding needed.

haha good 1 i was drivin home from angelas and and the frickin pin in the tranny broke in the blue car so now i can do 360degrees with the shifta and hit nothing....
