usually poker runs are a charity event. the profits go to fee's associated with setting it up and having people positioned at each stop. the left overs usually are donated to some charity. now this may or may not be the case here, idk.

one thing you should think of is using a specific marking on the cards for each stop and even mixing up deck brands/colors to help keep cheaters at bay. I didn't check the mileage but 1100...dam.... what if someone has a major mechanical issue I wouldn't want to be stuck on I 80 headed west..I could see maybe a 4-500mile course being more friendly. I had some guys at work who were interested untill I text them the 1100 round mile trip...just some food for thought.

Well I'm sure the other percentage would go to feeding us when we got back...

Cutout the Cairo part and its down to roughly 600 miles...

About 10 hours of driving...

five points...

atomic motorsports
rockford
moline
danville
atomic motorsports

FIVE POINTS / FIVE CARDS...

best hand wins...

still 10 hours of driving? no thanks. thats going to be a big turnoff for everyone. i dont let many people drive my car and so a passenger wouldnt help either. and i dont like riding shotgun anyway.

I am certainly up for cutting out the Cairo stop if that will get more people to join in.

The other 50% is going to buy some food and drinks for the after party and the cards, with the left over going to Stand Up 2 Cancer, TVR's charity of choice.

i may be in if it's cut down to 6-8 hrs of driving. cuz i'm driving 3+ hours to get to where it would start unless i came early the night before.
