Serious, ghost ride that piece of @!#$ into a tree and start over.

Here's the page for it so you can keep an eye on it.
1/13/2010 - House - Filed with the Clerk by Rep. Jerry L. Mitchell
1/15/2010 - House - First Reading
1/15/2010 - House - Referred to Rules Committee
1/26/2010 - House - Added Chief Co-Sponsor Rep. Chapin Rose
1/29/2010 - House - Fiscal Note Filed
Thought this was interesting...
"Fiscal Note (Office of the Secretary of State)
HB 4888 will save the Office of the Secretary of State approximately $800,000 a year in plate production costs. HB 4888 will have a minimal savings on the Office's mailing costs, as the Office is billed at the same rate for packages weighing up to 10 pounds."
I remember hearing from someone that the tint law took like 8 months to pass. I doubt anything significant will happen with this for a while, but at least it's on it's way!
It will be a while but worth the wait

Illinois House Bill 4888 did not pass the Committee.
Still not going to be running a front plate.
its still in the vehicle and safety committe and they are having another hearing on the 17th, so who knows maybe something will happen.......hopefully......
i doubt it will change anything. i dont run a front plate and i never will, never been ticketed for it. been warned but not ticketed. ill pay the fine before i mount the bumper... i dont expect to see this go anywhere soon.
damn it! i was getting a bit excited about not having a front plate. I guess we go back to raising taxes.
