i dont know where the hell to get a new top from and i really dont know where to get one put on either... well... one thats gonna be cheap anyway... does anyone know any good places around the twin cities that do tops for cheap... and somewhere that sells them too?

in the summer we got a new back window for my 89 and it was a waste of money they charged us like 200 bucks and did a @!#$ty job, lucky my dad paid for it lol i love parents...........umm try buying the top off e-bay and then getting it instaled, or search convetible tops in minnesota on yahoo or google.

well as long as you but the top you cna get it instaled some hwere and then you don't have to pay an obsecne price for the top it slef tops search.....

How much are you looking to spend ... last time I was at our auto wreck place that had a black top of off cavalier there. Not sure how much it is but i can check on it for ya if you like.

Ylime- I would say personally go with sirius but alot of people like XM also. Its all personal preferance. I carry more XM products but in the last year Sirius I think is becomming more popular. I gaurentee Sirius will be bigger then XM soon. If you are looking at getting somthing let me know and i can get you a good deal.

really cool, yea im not sure cause to many people tell me xm is better and some tell me sirus is better, i guess i would have to listen and gudge myslef, what kind of deal, i can buy the stuff off that add for 130 or something......im just tired of buying cd's

If someone tells you there is a sound difference they have not listened to both. Station wise XM might have more, but siruis adds alot more then XM and is catching up FAST. More variety of music i have to give to Sirius. More variety in sports and news stations goes to XM. Hard to really say who is better, its all personal.

holy help... thank you guys so much for all the help... i now have 2 estimates before i ran out of time and had to go to work... one for $950 in burnsville and one for $825 in whitebear lake... both are for a brand new vinyl top and rear windsheild and install... i gotta make a few more calls tomorrow morning and see if i can find anything lower than that... so if anyone knows anywhere in like the $600 range... please let me know...

I currently have my mechanic looking for a 30,000 mile 2002 z24 5 speed at auctions...yeah I know I’m picky. The problem is that at the auctions there are maybe 3 (at most all years/miles) z24's each time. He goes almost every Wednesday, but the requirements I gave him for purchase are pretty high. He has only been looking for 3 weeks or so, but…I have my doubts because I’ve seen past auction books, and there aren’t many, let alone ones that are the right milage/year/tranny.

I recently came across a 03 ls sport 5 speed 20,000miles for sale that I could pick up for a pretty nice price (about $6,500), as long as it isn’t messed up. I haven’t been able to call about the car but I was thinking about that.

I was wondering what you would do in my situation? Wait it out or act on the 03? My original intentions were to get a 2002 z24 and modify that over a period of time, but that might not even happen if I don’t even find a nice mileage Z.
