There is a ski hill in WI, I drove past it when I moved. I dont remember where it is, but it was not that far from the border. It was right off of 94 I think.

sup guys anyone ever try to fight a speeding ticket they got off 494 and dodd. Do you think if I went to court and fought it saying like other cars were going much faster that I would just have to pay the fine but keep it off my record. aight later guys

Good luck with that but that won't work. I would suggest a continuance for dismissal. Pay the fine, but it stays off your record
IF you don't get any similar or same (depending on the agreement) moving violations within the period defined by the hearing officer (usually a year, sometimes six months).

Yea, right. They will just dismiss it because you admitted guilt? Sorry, but that is BS.
I get this question all the time. I work with attorneys, I actually know the proscectors and a few judges in Anoka County. Take my advice.
My sister has gotten out of a ticket or two because of going with the flow of traffic, then again my dad was there with her and he is a really good talker. He got out of a stoping violation because he was able to prove a small amount of doubt lol. But, what Lurch said worked for me.
But with your previous record I don't know if they will go for that or not.

odd, that's a moving violation. a car that's just sitting there can have all identification stripped off of it and a cop can't do a damn thing. however, once you get in and drive they can slap you with a no front plate ticket. i havn't had a front plate on my car since last spring, only gotten 1 warning. that sucks though, at least you didn't have to pay for it (other than getting a license plate holder).

No Lurch he's right on this one. Things might be different in Anoka *shrug*. I've been infront of the judge twice and the state prosecutors have always told me that if I didn't want it on my record I would just plead guilty with a reason. Granted I never had to give a reason. The first prohbation lasted 6 months... the other lasted a year. Pyro, best bet it to try to talk to the state prosecutor beforehand and ask if he will allow you to plead "guilty with a reason." Usually you don't have to give a reason, it's basically just a way to go on prohbation for your ticket. Another thing, they usually only let you (in the south metro region that is) plead that way if you were going no more than 15 over...
Again, this is what I've been told by two state prosecutors so I'm sure you can possibly get out of it going on your record. Then again, isn't your driving record pretty bad?

really i didn't know that, yea im makeing my dad pay for half of it at least sence he didn't get around to getting it on, and i had no idea where to put it, and he was obsessed with funding the perfect spot for it lol, anways i got the holder for free from my dads shop, they had one lying around. were are going t contest it so hopefully i will pay nothing! damn coppers at school.

aight alot of you know my previous record so I'm not gonna start listing them. BUt to see the prosecutor do I just go early on the day of court or like a different day b4 I have to appear. Either way I can't have this on my record. I was actually goin 79 and 76 in a 60 but the trooper lady was nice and dropped it to 70 in a 60 to put me in the lowest fine bracket. thanks for the help guys.
go to traffic school. you obviously need it anyways..and you will get most if not all of the points dropped.

ok, well I've reconcilied differences with the person who caused me to disappear, so I am back!
Anyways, boarding today was so much fun!! I fell on my head tho, according to Arlo it was pretty bad to see. Tomorrow we'll be back at it!!!!

Yesterday was a very interesting day for me. Everything relating to cars too lol
Well at first my dad and I were moving a 84 Grand National that we sorta own(long story) into a garage at one of our rental houses, and the front end sliped on the ice hitting me and then trapping me between the car and the garage.
Later that day I was driving, I went to the coffee shop were my gf works and when I was driving her home a whole 4 block round trip from my house tothe coffee shop to hers, I got into a car accident.
The car spun completly around on the ice and then hit a sign and a fire hydrant, then I think it spun some more lol. I was going a whole 15 mph because there was a stop sign coming up lol. So the fender, part of the door, and front bumper are messed up.
No one got hurt it was very fun lol
Oh yeah the accident was in the VW GOLF so dont worry about the cav lol
