there's tons of places that sell sportlines... but please for the love of god don't put them on stock struts. like Dyl and Dave said, get some koni yellows and put them all in at the same time.

well i priced it out since i don't have $850 and by the time i get that summer will be over. i don't want everybody it get pissed cause i am not listening. i am i would buy it all at one time, really i would. but i have a hard time waiting for stuff. i hate showing up to meet and hoping nobody take a pic of my car cause of it have a ride hight compared to off-road machines. and plus i plan to put my stock springs on in winter. if i can. i didn't know i am tired

nobody said you had to buy it all at once... buy what you can, but wait until everything is all there before you put it on. this will save you a ton of work. as for swapping your springs in the winter time, im sure you'll change your mind about that when you have the enjoyment of putting your new springs on.

besides, who cares if you're still at stock height for now... i am. do what you can when you can.

yeah because if you wait to long the whole car scene might be over...that is the problem that a lot of people have...they think its gonna be over if they dont hurry up and buy things and fix up there car...

think of it this way...even if you do buy your stuff and the whole scene ends the next day...what good did it really do you...now you just have a car that nobody likes right?....

anyways...just wait and buy the right stuff...

YES you'll hurt your stock struts...let alone YOURSELF!! Lowering your car loses the give that allow a suspension to...SUSPEND which makes the ride feel less comfortable from the bumps. When lowering it your springs can't compress as much or hardly at all or you'll hit your fenders and you'll bottom out. THIS IS WHY KONIS are needed. I have sportlines and koni reds and the ride is AMAZING. DO NOT install sportlines on stock struts or I may have to hunt you down..lol. Trust me, I got MANY people's opinions before I installed a suspenion in my car because IF ANYTHING on your car to spend $$$ on, its the suspension. There's many things you can do the "CHEAP WAY" to your car..but suspension is NOOOOT the one to be cheap with. GET QUALITY, or you'll regret it BIG TIME. Hope this all helps...the sportlines give a GREAT drop, so you'll have about an inch(or finger) for the wheel gap. Its awesome the difference it makes..check out my cardomain site if you want before and after pics!~

ALSO, since your closer over there, you thought anything about dropfest?? I made a post here in the regional forum..hit that up too~~ l8r man

sign my guestbook on cardomain if ya have time..I can add ya to my buddies list then!

also..you have to look around for deals all over. I got my springs for under $150 and my struts for under $450. Again..GO QUALITY...or you'll regret it.

There's also a big chance that if you run coilovers or springs on stock struts your going to blow out the struts!~

lol put your stock springs back on and the first time you take it out the struts will blow. my car was the same way. i had my coils on my stock struts (it really didnt ride that bad). i raised it up for when i got my whole car repainted and then the struts blew. didnt really matter since i had my konis waiting to go on.

Forget lowering right now. If you are looking to eliminate body roll you need to get sway bars. I just put on tokico d-specs and goldline springs and I still have a lot of the body roll I had before, but I drove a friend of mine's cav that had a front sway bar and by just sitting in the car at a stand still you can tell a world of difference when turning the wheel. So what am I getting at here?? Get sway bars first (also called anti-roll bars.. go figure eh?), trust me you'll thank yourself later.

Well considering that you can buy a cav or fire from the dealership with a suspension package that includes a front swaybar, I would say no, a swaybar will not hurt your stock stuff. As far as what is the "best" or "good" I think it would depend on what you are doing with the car. I think the cheapest way to go would be to get the part numbers for the front swaybar and order from the dealership or gmpartsdirect. Remember if you are going to order aftermarket, such as eibach or otherwise, and dont have a front bar already, then Im pretty sure you are gonna have to get the brackets and stuff that the stock one would have if you had that suspension package. Now most of the aftermarket swaybars that I have seen are larger diameter than the stock one, I think the larger diameter, the less understeer you are going to get. This is where you have to figure out what you want to do with the car. If you are doing auto-x then you prolly want to go bigger, but if you are just daily driving then the stock size bar would prolly be good. Also if you are gonna do swaybars seperatly do the front first then the rear, because as far as I know if you do the rear first its gonna make your car kinda unstable under hard cornering. So... I hope I helped with this long post of mine, and Im sure that some of the guys in the suspension forum could help you better than I can, and prolly correct some of the stuff I told you if need be. So happy hunting
